The east side of the 4th block of Williams Street
Parkway is known as DOLL HOUSE ROW.
Architects in Denver grew tired of rows and rows
look alike boring bungalows and felt that even homeowners
with modest means should be able to have interesting
and unique homes that were more than just functional.
Several of the leading architects designed what I
like to think of as “miniature” versions
of the mansions of Country Club. Drive by and see
how wonderfully unique “doll house row”
is and how lucky we are to have it in Denver!
I chose one of the small houses on Williams Street
as my home in 1980 and people were shocked that I
raised my family in such a small “nest”.
But I loved it and would never have lived anywhere
else.
