The elementary school program provides students in
grades one through five instruction in reading, English,
computer science, mathematics, social studies, science,
fine arts, music, health, and physical education.
Kindergarten programs provide instruction in the basics
with an emphasis on skill development. Denver's unique
physical education program includes Fall and Spring
computerized fitness reports to parents.

The Challenge Program and the Highly Gifted Program
provide stimulating challenges for gifted and talented
students.
Gilpin Extended Day School provides Rockefeller Award-winning
before-and-after-school day care and education at
a nominal fee. Such electives, as violin, ballet,
scouts, and gymnastics are available.
Knight Fundamental Academy provides students with
the basic subjects plus music and art and sets high
academic expectations and a code of pupil behavior.
Strong parent commitment is required.

- Balarat Outdoor Education Center, located in the
mountains, provides every child in the fifth grade
and other grades an opportunity to learn about ecology
and the environment and experience outdoor living.
